Abstract

The current research aims to investigate the impact of additive manufacturing in its dimensions (competitive capability, reducing production cycle time, minimizing resource waste, improving efficiency and quality) on product value at the Baghdad Center for Manufacturing Prosthetics and Medical Supports. The study seeks to answer questions that express the research problem, including whether there is an impact of additive manufacturing on improving product value. A questionnaire was distributed to a sample of technicians at the Baghdad Center for Manufacturing Prosthetics and Medical Supports. The current research relied on the questionnaire, personal

interviews, and field visits as primary measurement tools. The relationship between these variables was tested using a random sample that included 137 technicians working in the factories, with 120 valid questionnaires returned for statistical analysis, while 17 questionnaires were not retrieved. Some statistical methods were employed using the SPSS (v.28) and AOMS (v.26) software. The research concluded several findings, the most important of which was the precedence of the variables based on relative importance, namely (additive manufacturing, product value). The results indicated that additive manufacturing has a significant impact on improving product value.
